EPS worked with nbn® Australia to develop a Native Bird Risk Management Plan, providing a clear framework to identify and protect bird species and their nests while maintaining essential telecommunications infrastructure. This season, several nests were successfully occupied and a few chicks have already been raised – a small but encouraging sign of thriving biodiversity alongside critical infrastructure.
The plan ensures maintenance can proceed responsibly, meeting Commonwealth, State and Territory environmental requirements and supporting biodiversity across Australia.
